Thanks for posting that suggestion Malcolm, however that's not the definitive answer.
I for one don't have the Favourites showing in my browser, at any time. As you can see from the screenshot below, the effect is as previously described, and is also the same when viewed in full screen browser window after pressing F11 key.
Each of Eric's photos are 450 pixels wide. If they had been joined side-by-side into one image of 900 pixels wide, then a scrollbar would have appeared. As they were posted as separate images, they have been wrapped to separate lines on a non-widescreen monitor.
As Eric mentioned, in 'Preview' mode the photos are indeed side-by-side, but when posted the screen area is slightly smaller (to cater for the poster's details on the left side of the screen) so gives the wrapping effect.
I don't think we need to get too hung up on this issue though, we don't want to make Eric feel bad about this.
