No alpine house here, just the Boss's greenhouse for toms and peppers.

Do you still grow those beautiful plants under glass?

General discussion / Re: Thanks to George
« Last post by ideasguy on April 24, 2024, 10:24:58 AM »
Thank you for those flattering comments, Nigel!

It was good to chat yesterday and catch up on things and to explain what Ideas Genie Pro 6 updates I'm currently working on.
I'm delighted you are so diligent in recording your garden information in IGP6  :)

Keep revisiting the forum. I will post a message here when the latest waft of updates are released.
(These can be downloaded by clicking the Help tab on the IGP6 menu and running the program Check for Updates.)

General discussion / Thanks to George
« Last post by NigelF on April 23, 2024, 09:13:14 PM »
I just want to acknowledge the brilliant customer support that George has given me (again).  I needed to download and reinstall Ideas Genie Pro 6 for a new laptop after my old one expired unexpectedly.  It was relatively straightforward but made a lot easier by help from George.  Thanks!

I use IGP6 regularly, to record what plants I have in the garden, all linked to photos.  I find it very useful to remind myself what is where, when they were planted and what they look like at different times of the year.  I store data on Google drive so that it can be accessed from my desktop computer or laptop.

I am not aware of any other programs or apps that do half as good a job.

General discussion / A walk in the garden on a beautiful Spring evening.
« Last post by ideasguy on April 21, 2024, 08:29:56 PM »
After a wet cold winter and early spring, how beautiful it was to have a lovely spring day today.
My walk around was to water my Japanese Maples. Sun shining, birds chirping everywhere and then I got hit with a beautiful waft of fragrance - from my Choisya ternata.
Flowers are quite small but this specimen has not been pruned and its about 8 ft tall and about 10 ft wide! Overgrown, yes, but it is such a pleasant surprise in the evening.
The first day this year we didn't have at least a shower of rain. MUCH to do in the garden and with the forecast saying its going to be DRY (Wow!!) for a few days more, I may be able to get the first cut of the the grass at the top of the garden!
Got a second (heavy) cut off the front then spent a couple of hours gathering dandelions. Insects like them but boy, do I hate them!
How is your gardening?

Great aprovement George.
Now I understand the use of the BATCH button.
I have used it for my seeded lathyrus odoratus varieties (seeded 8 mars 2024 in plastic pots) + I have used the batch feature. I will send you today my newest database by  https://wetransfer.com/ + email with questions/remaiks and suggestions about the BATCH feature and the Pots feature
