That is amazing Barry!

Try this:
Using Transaction Analyser, RIGHT click on the From date date picker field and choose the option "From = Very First Date".
RIGHT click on the TO date date picker field and choose the option "To = Very Last Date".
It may take a few seconds, but does it display ALL transactions OK?
Ive never tried with such a large dataset.

I first tried Bank Genie in 2007. Since then I have kept up with the changs of release and even collaborated with George on some developments. I now have 10 (TEN!) different databases reflecting the different financia responsibilities I have. I just looked and the largest dataset (my own finances) dates back to 1993 and has over (wait for it....) 61000 records.

I am amazed Mike. Ive been using Bank Genie long before I released it to the public and I have 31667 records in my database.
You must have imported a large number of transactions from your previous Personal Finance Software when you switched to Bank Genie.

Heres some stats about the software I use for development:
Maximum # of records per table file.
 1 billion

Maximum size of a table file.
 2 gigabytes

Maximum size of an FPT file.
 2 gigabytes

Maximum # of characters per record.
 65,500

Maximum # of fields per record1.
 255

Maximum # of tables open at one time2.
 65,535

The table with Bank Genie transactions is called TRANS.dbf
I dont think anyone will exceed its capability.
Our 30,000 or so records is a drop in the ocean compared to the max number of 1 billion   :D

I now have 30,886 transactions on Bank Genie, a testament to the robustness of your product. The software is used every day of the week since I bought the product in 2015.

Congratulations George for your personal help, in a number of problem situations, and you have been, (and are) most willing to make yourself available, when this Old Customer requests assistance.
It was especially appreciated by  the staff in a computer shop, to whom you spoke, when I was unable to understand what you asked me to do.
Afterward, he said to me "Now that;s what I call Customer Support"
Thanks for being so patient with me, and Best Wishes for the next 20 years.

George, hardly a day goes by when I don’t open BG Pro 6—whether it’s to enter new transactions or to look up what I paid for something years ago. I honestly couldn’t be without this software. I had started to wonder if you’d hung up your boots, since I haven’t seen any upgrades offered online lately. But then again, how does one improve on an almost perfect programme, actually in my opinion it is perfect for my needs.

Best wishes
Richard

I've not been here for 20 years but certainly it's in double figures.  Use it close to every day and it's invaluable to me in keeping track of our finances.  The help that George gave me when I started using it and particularly when a significant update came out was the sort of support that I wish every piece of software had.

Happy Birthday BG6

Never been a gardener but have used BG4, 5 & 6 since 2012 on various PCs and Laptops. Perfect for a Yorkshireman who is always careful with money! Religiously updated and balanced almost daily. I watch people tapping their phones willy-nilly and never a receipt and fail to understand how they keep track on their spending. I'm smug knowing I've Bank Genie keeping me solvent!

Thank you George for all the help over the years,

Brian Lee

I think I've used it every day for at least 10 years, if not more. Well done George and congratulations.
