I'm looking through Erics (Palustris) CD and have now reached Hepatica
Ive never grown any of these plants, but for plant lovers, they look a real treasure.
Hepatica nobilis is hardy in UK, so any growing tips would be much appreciated.
Until I get the next update to Erics WPG project published, heres a web page which you may find inspirational (I did)

That's a great looking web site you gave us there George. I've bookmarked that one for future reference. 8)
I'm very impressed with the quality of the photos - a man after my own heart (figuratively speaking of course :D ).
I also like his use of logs in the floral planting scheme - I've never seen that before. Rocks yes, but not logs.
Laurie.

You do realise that some of the Japanese hybrids retail at over £100 each!
They are acid loving woodlanders which need dappled shade in leaf mouldy soil. The seeds need to be sown when still green and they hate to be pricked out, if they germinate, until they are quite reasonably sized plants. Bigger specimens may be divided, but I have never had the nerve to try this.

I think I have only got the ordinary blue or pink one, H. nobilis.

The H. nobilis look good to me!
Do you grow any outdoors?
On the above web site, its only a starter for (100 and) 10
You'll notice on that page that he mentioned a "next" article, to discuss Cultivation of Hepeticas and more photos.
I backtracked and found the index to his Wisley articles:

The first link in this tread is 14th March 08, so a few more links for you to click!
Heres the Cultivation article (28th March 08) , with more photos as he promised.
