Here we have James posing beside one of my autumn favourites - Fuchsias, and in the background - two varieties of Michaelmas Daisies

The Michaelmas daisies were choked with couch grass for a few years no. I decided it was time to take action, even though it was well past the time to divide.
I went ahead anyway, and separated out the bits of the Daisies, and replanted. I also moved some of them to another bed at the back of the house.
As you can see, it did them no harm at all!
I dug up and replanted everything in that corner, and that included an Azalea and a Pieris (Forest Flame)
Fortunately (??) we are blessed with rains in Ireland - they took off again and look fit and healthy.
I was worried about the Azalea for a while though - it looked pretty sick for a month and more! It had a very fine root system.
