Once again (at time of posting this message) the Bank Genie (http://www.bankgenie.net) website is offline.

Try clicking the link above to see if it has been fixed.

This time its to do with security.
When you visit a website you will see either a padlock (a secure website) or Not secure just before the the URL address in the address bar.

I went though the (challenging!) process of changing the Bank Genie website to "Secure".
The certificate was for one year.
About a week before expiry, I paid again for the certificate and applied it on my host server. A message came up to say that the provider would change the status within 48 hrs so I could complete the process.
 That didn't happen.

As a result, the certificate expired.
In my ignorance, I assumed that the website would simply revert to Not secure.
 Not so >:(
Instead when I tried to open the website it gave this message:
 Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.bankgenie.net (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more
 NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

and the website would not appear >:( >:(

Derek reported a problem that the program "Check for Updates" was not working.
That is also a result of the website failure.

I have reported the problem to my web hosting providers. Lets hope they can get the Bank Genie website working again quickly.

well, at least I can see this message!

				Until this is fixed:
Attempts to access the Bank Genie (http://www.bankgenie.net) User Guide will give the same result.

Still waiting for a response from our Web Hosting Service provider.

				Its fixed!!!
In each of the following (1 and 2) should now show a padlock to the left of the URL address in your browser.

 Please visit and confirm:
 1.
 Bank Genie Website (http://www.bankgenie.net)

 2.
Start (any version 6 installation) of Bank Genie (http://www.bankgenie.net) on your computer.
Click on a User Guide link on any screen.

 3.
With Bank Genie (http://www.bankgenie.net) running, Under Help tab, click Program Updates.
It should now work normally again (does for me!)
