As some of you know already, I'm an Arsenal (soccer) fan, not a rugby fan, but there wasn't much on the tele so I watched this :D
It sure was a bruising encounter :o and a wee bit nail biting at the end.
There will be a few pints of the all black stuff (OK, with a frothy head) going down tonight, tomorrow and probably all next week  ;D

				Indeed, well played Ireland. Cheers!!

Yes definitely one to celebrate! I was following the game but shamefully switched channels before the end to watch the highlights of the England game! ::)

				Cheers Barry  :)
I forgive you Mike :D
Not so good for our N.Ireland football team unfortunately.
I went to that match today.
They lost to Austria by 2 goals to 1 and finished rock bottom of their Nations League group  :(
Austria scored the winner right in front of us with virtually the last kick of the ball in the 3rd minute of the 3 minutes of extra time :'(

				Thanks George.
Incidentally, talking about soccer and Arsenal I'm a life long dedicated Spurs fan, so I can see a bit of rivalry there! :o

I think I dont have any problem there. I dont have a soccer team that I support. For Rugby I support Wales (family comes from there).

After all these years of communication I didn't know that Barry :)

The Ireland -NZ result reminded me of Llanelli  9 All Blacks 3 in 1972. Quote"It’s been called the greatest upset in club rugby" and inspired Max Boyce's famous song "I was there" which gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it. Disclaimer: my father was born and bred in llanelli so I am not at all biased.
