Thank you for posting Nicola.
YOu have a wonderful collection of Asters and better still you manage to grow them to perfection.
How many years did it take to get that one and the others today to grow to those proportions?

two or three years at the most.....I don't let them forming big clumps as I keep dividing them to get more plants ( we're all a little gready and getting new plants so easily is just irresistible )

Its great when GOOD plants grow sufficiently to allow divisions. I'd do the same if I could!
My Asters are rather slow to spread, and sometimes don't survive the winter in locations I choose.
They seem to do much better for you in Rome.
