I love Geums, and I am in envy of your collection 8)

In bloom at present I have Geum 'Lady Stratheden' (yellow)  and Geum 'Mrs J. Bradshaw' (Red).
Grown from seed (Chiltern Seeds).
I also have an orange one which self seeded beside an old shed in very poor soil.
When I saw what a good plant it was I transplanted it into a flower bed.
They don't have pretty foliage, but they all have lovely flowers which are airy and look well from a distance - something which helps the appearance of a flower bed.
Keep up the good work Eric - I'm enjoying looking at the treasures in your garden.

Funny, we have about 30 different Geums, but the 2 you mention are not in the collection, we did have them but they both died.
I will try and get decent pics of the others, but for some reason a lot of the photos come up out of focus. Very odd.

Not very odd when I take close ups of flowers ;D

Great photos Eric.

We don't have any Geums in our garden so are unable to comment on their performance where we are.

This is indeed a lovely collection, and has inspired me to invest in more when circumstances allow.  I bought a couple from a flower show two years ago.  Last year they were quite nice in pts around the house but they are much happier this summer now that they are planted in the ground.  I'll add a picture when I have found and processed one.  I have a yellow and a lemon coloured variety but I've forgotten their names :(  Maybe it's written down on a scrap of paper somewhere!
