well as grandparents now we have the privelidge of having davie the grandson for the night whilst daugter and partner can go out, but we dont care we would rather have him for the night than go out

We're OUT tonight Phil.
Got a meal booked for 7pm at a local eating establishment 5 minutes drive from our home with some of our neighbours/friends. We'll be staying here to see the New Year in then going home.
We've organised designated drivers, who will not be drinking alcohol, and Kathy and I are passengers ;D
In the past we've never made a big thing of New Year celebrations, preferring to stay at home.
Anyway, we've got some some great neighbours here who have become good friends, so we're making the effort ;)
Whatever anyone else is doing, have a wonderful time.

george you was right he finally stopped runnimg around 11.45 and fell asleep so we did see the new year in by putting him to bed ;D hope you all had a great time whatever you were doing, designated driver is the way to go ;D

Getting ready here for another family get together to round off the festivities.
