Title: Flower Genie - Moving to a new server

After last weeks problems in upgrading the forum, I contacted Easily, my host.
I asked if they were able to provide the latest versions of PHP and mySQL.
They informed me that I needed to upgrade to one of their higher spec servers.
James (Tanathka) has persuaded me to go for it.

The forum will be down again over the weekend at some stage as we transfer all the stuff from this server to the new.
When it comes up again, hopefully we will be looking at the latest version of the SMF forum software.

But with an expert like James at hand to help you I'm quite certain you'll breeze through the upgrade  ;D

Thanks Laurie. Ive just bought the new hosting package - 5 GB space and 2 databases.
That should make it so we dont have any space problems with our members posting attachments for a while!

The job is complete and we now have a very pretty, new look forum 8)

The congratulations in this case go to James (Tanathka). Without him this move of the forum database (with all our Boards and topics) to this new server, followed by an upgrade of the SMF forum software to the latest version would not have been possible. That guy is a genius! Hes an expert in open source software and makes this stuff look easy. I can assure you it is not.

The new look forum at Version 2 looks very cool James 8)

George, you just need to check the link to your Forum photo.  It's a broken link at the moment in your postings  :(
