Gardening in Shropshire Spring 2013
« on: April 05, 2013, 12:47:32 PM »
It is nice to be WARM.
Just wish that I could get on with gardening instead of repairing the damage done by the snow. The weight brought down the Woodshed and old Chicken Run roofs. I am having to demolish them as the structure is dangerous and we need to see what we have to do to replace the Woodshed. The chicken bit is no longer used so we may not bother with that section.

Likewise here today Eric. First day with no woolly hat, no fleecy jacket and after a while I even had to remove my jumper 8)
All the hedge cuttings and prunings gathered up and shredded.
Soon be ready to start rotovating. Planning to grow veg this year and Ive kindly offered plots to my boys and their wives ;D

I wish you luck with those sheds Eric :)

PS: We had a frost last night - the ground was that scary white this morning :o

Ditto here too.

Sunny, clear skies, just a slight chill in the wind in the open spaces, otherwise very pleasant.

Out enjoying the better weather walking around the New Forest again.

Also had quite a hard frost overnight but soon cleared when the sun came out.

Haven't got into much gardening yet though, but hoping to start soon (weather permitting of course  ::) ).

The first reasonable day here for a long time too, Eric. I will post some photos I took today and you will see what I mean.
