Title: A Beginner's View on Ideas Genie
Post by: mikesanders on January 16, 2006, 12:32:48 AM
I invested in Ideas Genie about 10 days ago.  I am now hooked, as I am impressed both with the comprehensiveness of the program and the high degree of flexibility that is offered to the User.  On several occasions, I have asked George - can the program do this or that - each time expecting a negative answer.  But on each occasion, I get an email, saying that IG can do the requested task, and here is how - very comprehensive instructions.

I have mentioned that I would want a form of applying coordinates to each plant in the garden, related to Garden Areas, and I believe that this is being incorporated into a later version of IG.  In the meantime, I am cobbling together a self-standing program based in Phoptoshop, but it is only a half-way house! - and has the disadvanatage of not being on the same platform as IG.

Thanks for that encouraging comment Mike. Makes burning the midnight oil for a few years worthwhile!

Its great satisafaction to me when IG is discovered by an appreciative user.
Its like finding a good home for puppies!

I enjoy helping customers as they explore the system. It takes me back over all the features again.
Believe me, when the time spent planning and developing some of those features, particularly some of the more specialised features (sometimes rewriting and starting again) is recalled, its very satisfying to see that they are being discovered AND they are being put to good use.
