Short answer ..... no!

ideasguy:
Ever tried? Heres a thread on our forum with tips.

Eric Hardy:
Here are some more in our garden: -

Clematis "Marie Boisselot" (facing west)

Clematis Montana (facing south)

Clematis Montana (facing west)

We also have a C. Jackmanii but for some reason or another I don't seem to have a photo of it. This is very old and doesn't seem as vigourous as it used to be. I forgot to prune it back last year  >:(

The other one is, I think, Clematis Tage Lundell that Malcolm posted but it is a fairly new plant and not well established yet and at the moment the buds are tight shut and not particularly photographable.

Beautiful! Very nice photos Eric.
When were they taken?

Eric Hardy:
Thank you George. The pink Montana was taken on May 14th 2006 and the others on 7th June 2006.
