Title: Please add date for next SO or DD on Screen BS423S01
Post by: michaelfairburn on December 13, 2015, 12:54:46 AM
It would be helpful to see when the next SO or DD is due when looking at screen BS423S01

Please may I ask for non-disappearing screens? If I'm in the transactions screen and I want to create a new category, for example, I don't want to have to quit the transactions screen, open the categories screen and then reopen the transactions screen. There is a lot of superfluous clicking of the mouse that could be minimised or even removed completely with a little process thinking.

Are you referring to the transactions (adding) screen BS421S03?
If yes, the facility to add a Category or Sub Category "on the fly" is already provided in that screen.
See similar screen by clicking the link to a screenshot below.

To add a new category in BS421S03:
Click the New button to the right of the Category popup.

The above tip relates to Bank Genie Pro.
In Bank Genie 4, the same feature is provided in BS421S31 (the add debits/credits screen in that system)

This screenshot shows the New button in Bank Genie 4:

Nevertheless multiple open screens would be a very nice feature although I suspect that the development vehicle makes this hard if not impossible.

No George, the transactions screen was just an example. To save having to reopen screens every time I switch, it would be great to be able to switch between open screens. I'm not sure what programming difficulties this would bring with it, but I would expect any MS Windows-based programming language to be able to allow standard MS Windows functionality.
