Its a sad day after the first frost of Winter - all the foliage on the lovely Dahlias are withered and the Flowers damaged.
We got away with it longer than usual this year. Ive seen the Dahlias killed off in early October in a snap in previous years.
As is usually the case, the weather can be mild again (well at least above freezing) for weeks after that snap but of course the Dahlias don't recover.
Good news is they usually return again next year.
