Ideas Genie put to the test?
« on: January 05, 2006, 10:04:16 PM »
This is the perfect application for Ideas Genie, and I'm pleased to say that Paul from R A Meredith New Plant Development in
Bressingham is doing some special trialling - with Ideas Genie.

website: Blooms of Bressingham
Click the New Plants Link

The Specimens feature was the attraction initially, but Ive spoke to Paul a few times on the phone and talked him through some of the photographic handling features (lasooing etc) and global editing, and to make good use of hyperlinks in documents.

OK, thats the "boring business" bit over, lets find the interesting stuff...

You can read about Plant discovery here:
http://www.bloomsofbressingham.co.uk/about/directory.asp

I told Paul that we have a forum, and folk here would be very keen to hear a little about what goes on in the New Plant Development business.
e.g. How many varieties are tested, how long does the trialling process take, what does he look for, how many are successful...

Now, he CANT tell us what plants he's CURRENTLY trialling (you'll just have to wait and see) but you'll find some absolutely gorgeous examples on this page of Plants which have passed through the process, and have been "brought to market"
Just click "New Plants" on the web page above.
Dont forget to look at the Archives.

Now, heres something for us to do...
Do you grow any of these plants?
Those Coreopsis look real good, and I love that little Veronica prostrata 'Goldwell'
I have other varieties of each, and love them.
