Many, many clematis!!

I found out that Nellie Moser is a mis-spelling. It is Nelly Moser.

Eric Hardy:
I have just found this post. A great link George. I have just checked my Flickr site and find that I too have called these "Nellie" instead of "Nelly" :-[
This grows by our dining room window.

ideasguy:
Lovely photos again Eric!
Nelly is certainly one of my favourites.

If only all plants were as reliable as Clematis!
Matter of interest, are yours North facing Eric?

Eric Hardy:
They face due south, actually, George.

ideasguy:
So does mine Eric. I read that they hold their colour better when North facing. Not many plants like to be North facing, so that makes it useful.
My attempts to propagate at the end of last season appear to have failed (again!) The two pots have the cuttings looking intact, but no sign of a shoot  :'(
Have you ever managed to propagate Clematis?
