One or two things have begun to open in the sun we have had the last few days.

Spring here as well. My posy of the day. Camellia × williamsii 'Donation'.
The bush had its first flower last weekend and this mild weather has brought it on nicely.

Have sent you a picture.
Wish we could grow Camellias, but everyone has now died. Too cold even for the hardiest ones.

It seems to happen if the original posting is, for some reason, not accepted. For example the connection was interrupted when I first tried to post and then I forgot to put something in the Message box so it was rejected. The connection to the Clear attachment area does not work as far as I can see.

I managed it by editing the file name Eric.
Try that and see if it works (e.g. dashes between the parts of the name of the plant)
Try also removing the spaces from the file name

I changed the File name altogether and it still rejected it.
Will have another go with something.

Whatever you did, it worked real good Eric.

Your photos are excellent quality, take a bow.
That Chionodoxa is a difficult shot with the white and pale blue. Beautiful!

It seems that the Error message which appears offering the chance to delete the Attachment does not work. It says click HERE, to delete Attachment but it does not lead anywhere.

I'd like to think that if a file of the name to be uploaded already exists on the server that it would indeed not permit that existing file to be deleted.
Best to rename the file to be uploaded and try again.
Glad you overcame the difficulties Eric :)

I'm envious! After 4 months of little to no snow, we have 4 inches on the ground... Nothing is springing here  :'( Lovely photos!

Last thing one needs at this time of year is snow.......unless it protects plants from late frosts.  I have  fund raising plant sales to get things ready for, next Friday and then March 26th (I think). I am busy putting things in the tunnel to try to get them to move on and the last thing I need would be snow! Hope it melts for you soon.

YIKES!!  I thought we were getting it badly Eric with torrential rain.

Rather that than snow though.

Let's hope you don't get snowed in.

Laurie.

Well three weeks ago, Laurie, I was due in hospital for a hernia op. Of course it had to snow. A kind friend, Heather,  was going to drive me there, she was also staying the night with Anthea while I was away. She got as far as the pub in the village but the last half mile was impassable in her car. I ended up having to ask a kind neighbour with a 4x4 to get me to the village to join our friend. I got to the hospital in the on time.

Coming home the next day was almost as hairy  ::). I got a taxi and the driver just managed to get me to our front gate. He was a great chap and took me very firmly by the arm and together we shuffled down the slope to our front door. :)

I wasn't aware of your hospital appointment Eric.  Glad to hear everything went okay and you got back home safely.

Those conditions can be really treacherous.

Good to hear there's still some kind-hearted people out there willing to help out when asked.

As I write, we've just had a slight fall of hailstone.  Not enough to lay, but brrrr all the same.  ::)

Thank you Laurie. As I look out of the window I see the snow has vanished as dramatically as it arrived. The lawn is looking beautifully green again.

It was bright and sunny here all day, but bitterly cold.
Then, mid afternoon, a heavy shower of hailstones.
Still think we are a month ahead this year - April showers in March ::)
