Title: Pritzelago alpina 'Icecube'

B&Q were selling 3 plants for £5 and I bought one of these to make up the even numbers.
Cant find much info on it. Cant even find much info on the Genus!

It had a mass of small white flowers and still flowering away.

Seems its common name is Chamois Cress

suggests anither name: Hutchinsia alpina `Icecube' (equally mysterious)

Anybody have any experience with this one?

Grown it for years under its old name of Hutchnsia. Self seeds all round the trough where it started off life. Likes well drained soil in full sun, typical alpine really.

Thanks Eric. I rather suspected you'd know that alpine plant  :)

Is it hardy outside in full sun, well drained soil?

Looking at the properties I see its in your April Garden Tour, and looking good.
Perhaps its in the Photos you sent to me on CD? I haven't got it entered yet.

Don't think it is in the photos I sent you, it has only just begun flowering and I am not sure I have ever bothered taking a picture before.

Hardy it most certainly is. I planted a little specimen last year, and it survived our very hard winter of 2009-2010 with no damage - in fact it has grown and spread.
Its blooming away merrily at present. Photo to follow.
