Eastleach House, Gloucestershire
« on: March 11, 2009, 10:15:31 AM »
One of my favourite gardens to visit , because it is a nice mixture of formal and informal, is Eastleach House in Gloucestershire. It is only open three days a year so you have to grab the opportunity when arises. Anthea and I went last year in the rain, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment. this year the days are Friday 15th May 2009, 2 pm to 5 pm; Friday 26th June 2009, 2 pm to 5 pm; Friday 10th July 2009, 2 pm to 5 pm.

The website is here  http://www.eastleachhouse.com/

Here are a few photos taken on our visit

This is a very nice place Eric.  My favourite conditions for taking photos are bright and overcast, so there are no shadows. The colour seems to come out better. Prefer if it doesn't actually rain though!
You've done a fine job there once again!

Those gates are exquisite! Is that "framed" photo taken through a hole in the hedge? Very artistic, I have to say!

The hole in the hedge was a newish venture, I think,  forming a peephole in the yew hedge. A little more growth and clipping was required over the top.
