Excellent 8)
Many thanks for your very quick response Laurie.

I spoke to Mary (MaryC on the forum) and she has a problem getting this to work with Windows 8 and IE10.
I'd like results from clicking from other W8 users and IE10 users on this one.

Hi Laurie and Phil
I had to edit all postings in this topic to change the Subject to something more descriptive.

Hi, just downloaded the new file set updates and, once I realised I was overlooking the need to click the INSTALL button, all worked fine. I am on Windows 7 and BGPro.
Great programme by the way, still running it alongside Quicken but once I'm able to bring my investments across, Quicken will go.

Cheers, John

Very useful feature. I'm using Windows 8 default browser is Chrome but the update option launched IE10 but worked fine.

Thank you Anthony, and well done!

Yes, Bank Genie creates an instance of Internet Explorer in its functions, so IE10 appearing is expected.
Only a few problems reported, all due to the complexities of downloading with Windows 7 and Windows 8 - something most users don't do every day :D

Hi George,
You are obviously putting in a lot more time and energy improving Bank Genie. I am so comfortable using BG Pro4 these days and it does all that I require of it. Doing my online tax return was a doddle with the information I had stored. As everything is fine for me I am reluctant to disturb things. Would I be missing much if I just left things as they are?

Program updates are entirely optional Eric. There are some very neat things in the latest set of updates and I would very much recommend you give them a try.

I'll add a help page to the Product Support website to pull together screenshots of dialog boxes that can appear when doing downloads, and how to deal with them. It will be a few days, so wait until then if you wish.

Hope you and Anthea are well :)
