Excuse the hat and coat
« on: February 25, 2012, 10:11:53 PM »
Me and my little grandson Odhran, taken today by his daddy (my son Simon of course).

I took a break from pruning (hence the garb) to take him on a wee walk around the house.
We peeped through the window to see what the family were up to and Simon pressed his iPhone against the window and took this!
I was amazed by the quality!

Nice one George  8)

The pixel quality of iPhones nowadays have advanced so much.  And as they're an item you pretty much have with you all the time, makes a photo opportunity within easy grasp  ;)  (Do I sense an amendment to your Profile pic coming on? )

Any excuse to get out of gardening too - I don't know  ::)

Laurie.

It sure will Jacqui. Hes just at that really cute stage, chatting away, with new words each time he comes a-visiting. Then they get to 4 or 5 and they start to return the compliment (teaching us!)

I had a large glass of water sitting on my desk on Thursday. 6 year old James noticed that there were small bubbles attached to the inner side of the glass. We looked closer and we remarked that there were no bubbles on the side nearest to the window, so he asked me why that was.
I said that was the sort of thing a scientist does, doing experiments and making observations. I began to explain to him what a scientist was and got quickly interrupted  - I KNOW what a scientist is Papa  - EVERYBODY knows what a scientist is :-X ::) :-[
Up to the sink, glasses of water lining the kitchen window...

They certainly do George and yes I am immensely proud of him - he has had a lot to get through the last six years with health issues but now has secured a 6 month contract job with a Film Production company.  The second love of his life (or third if you count me!!!) is his camera equipment - serious hobby and would love to go professional.
