I'm dreaming of a white Easter!!!!

Weather forecast came with a warning this evening - we can expect 30cm (12in) of snowwwww on high ground and 5 to 10cm (2 to 4ins) in parts of N Ireland tonight and tomorrow.

I thought Frank (our weather man) was joking when he said we have as good a chance of a White Easter as we have of a White Christmas this year!
As I spoke to my daughter on the phone a short time ago, begorrah, on it came.

So, all together now:
Snow is falling, all around us
Children playing, having fun
It's the season of love and understanding

definately colder today double figures nice and sunny yesterday, single figures and raining today, being on the edge of the gulf stream it may force the snow up north

Apparently the west coast is to bear thebrunt of this. Fortunately I'm on the East side of the country. Our Frank says we will have heavy rain later.
Hope the snow clears by the weekend. We (the whole family!) have a little 2 day break planned in Donegal (North West of Ireland), leaving Sat morning and returning Monday. Someone is having yet another birthday on Sat
We have to negotiate the Glenshane pass to get there, and it is as high ground as you can get in these parts!

it snowed lastnight, put dogs out at 11 and it was snow ing then, all gone this morning, had rain in the night, windy, sunny but cold out

Tara has arrived home safely and we are all set for our weekend break.

The Glenshane pass experienced the worst snow drifts for many years. Many travelers were stranded overnight.
Fortunately the weather has returned to some sort of normality, and if it stays like this we should be able to take the normal route to get to the west of Ireand.
