Chiltern seed catalogue
« on: February 03, 2010, 12:25:19 PM »
Sorry to trouble you again George but I just downloaded the Chiltern catalogue via the link in GA040 and it seems to have vanished in the depths of my machine. As I remember, there wasn't anything to show where it was downloading to i.e. desktop or wherever, and I wasn't sure if it might be downloading into IGpro. I checked 040 and nothing showed there. Also did a search for a file containing 'chiltern' (without quotes). Nothing showed there either. Any suggestions please?

Cheers,

Trevor

Windows 7?

Does it show up in the list of catalogs when you open GA040?

If not, what option did you choose when you downloaded?

Generally, when you choose Save, you have to make sure you make a note of where you save it
Then you have to locate the downloaded (and saved file) and Run it to install the files.

The Chiltern download is called:
Chiltern-dl.exe
Do a search for that.
Double click on it to install

All is well George. Didn't enter the full address in the search. I searched for anything with 'chiltern' in it with no result. Either the capital 'C' or the '-dl.exe' did the trick. Appears in 040 now. Nice to see the images in the catalogue. Haven't had one from them for several years now. I always used to like the quirky little bits of humour in their catalogue. Anyway, thanks again George.

Thats great Trevor.
GA040 allows you to either order on line or create a hard copy Mail Order.
What you have downloaded is the 2009 Catalog.
I negotiated the same deal with Chiltern as last year.
If anyone places an order by posting a Mail Order printed out with GA040, they get their order at those 2009 prices.

If you click on the Plant Info button, that text appears.
The program retrieves it from their website, so its bang up to date.

I received an electronic listing of the 2010 Catalog earlier this week. Havent had time to process it yet (into IG pro format)

Great - that should encourage a few orders - and use of GA040!

It needs support from users to make that project work.

To me, having not just one but a number of good photos for plants in the Chiltern Catalog (and any catalogs that follow if this is a success) is a delight :)
