Posy of the day
(1/1)
ideasguy:
Heres our table posy for today with a few plants from the garden.
Campanula persicifolia (blue), Tanacetum parthenium (white, yellow centres) and Brachyglottis Sunshine (Yellow).
Foliage is also Brachyglottis Sunshine. Leaves are green/grey on top, grey below.
I need to check the variety of Tanacetum as I have both the single and double forms in my garden - any suggestions?
The Brachyglottis (formerly Senecio) is as tough as old boots. Its at my front gate. A few years ago it spread out so much it was scratching the car. I hacked it back severely. It forgave me!

Campanula persicifolia self seeds a little (wish it would do more!)

That page says:

I agree. Its beside a pink rose in my garden and an Acer negundo 'Flamingo'
They make a beautiful combination.
mmm. Need to add more photos to illustrate each of those!

I agree about that, George. We knock ours back a lot to stop it getting too leggy and almost immediately lots of new buds appear on the hard wood.
Funnily enough I took a picture of one of ours (we have three) only two or three days ago.
I really prefer it without the flowers, like you, Anthea often uses the foliage with other flowers in the house.

Nice shot Eric.
I was surprised to find I hadnt provided a photo in the Master Database.
It shall be done, including yours.
I love the flowers! They are bright and cheery. However, when the flowers fade they go to fluffy seed heads ::)
