Hi,
 I thought I could easily apply the latest updates over the Christmas holidays but....
 I am having difficulty with the instructions to update Bank Genie 6.  There is no "Check for Updates" under the Help tab or "Menu Version".  Are these programs missing from my installation?  I have not applied any updates since installing Bank Genie 6 in  Feb 2018. We are limited users and have been very happy with the product and must admit to having let things run on.
I have been to the Support website but cannot see a way forward.
Your help would be much appreciated.

In a phone call to help, we discovered that the Bank Genie menu at the top of the screen was missing.
Once we fixed that, Mary was able to find and run the Check for Updates program.
There were a number of updates required and I left Mary to download and install from the list and then to post a message here when she had managed to get her installation up to date with all updates applied..

Hi, Thanks for your guidance. Having sorted out the screen display and got the Menu tab visible I was able to apply the updates on the 29th and all seams to be OK.  Looked at some transactions, Net Worth and refreshed the euro currency successfully.

However, I tried to do a backup and got an
Integrity error screen BS000S05  "Live data file integrity check result"
"live data problem file listing"
SECRTS file does not exist.

I have tried to do the backup to a new file but that did not make any difference.
I did a backup on the 28th in anticipation of the update.
Please advise.

If you have finished downloading all the updates, then under the File tab, please run the program Special-BS912.
That program will create any new files which have been introduced since you first installed the Bank Genie software.

SECRTS is one of a few new files related to the new Investments program which is now part of Bank Genie Pro 6
These files were not introduced at the time you first purchased Bank Genie Pro 6 (back in Feb 2018).
