My "nose job"
« on: August 29, 2007, 10:30:08 PM »
Tomorrow - I go into hospital for surgery on my nose.
Septoplasty and trimming of inferior turbinates.
If all goes well, I will be discharged next day (Friday).

Thanks Jessie

Cant smell a thing at present! I can just about breathe very gently through each nostril today, for the first time from the op.
I'm dreading bumping into something  :'(

I hope you're fully recovered now George and can sniff out a few bargains at the local garden centre!

The nose is not fully recovered, but I'm delighted to say its 90% there.
Good news is - it has not affected my sense of smell. That would be unthinkable!
The first sign of recovery was when I caught a lovely scent in the greenhouse. It was a Heliotrope - I grew it from seed. I'd been very impressed with some I saw last year. At present, the greenhouse is filled with the scent of a white Jasmine. It was a house plant last year - I put it in a corner of the greenhouse, and it has clambered all down one side of the greenhouse, legging up adjacent plants. Overpowering scent - but I really do like it!

Mind you, its a different sense to sniff out a bargain. I could probably have managed that.

I'm out in the garden today. As you can imagine, 4 weeks without weeding needs a bit of catching up!

How is your garden this year?  I miss your on-line diary, Chrissie! Have any other regular visitors been in touch?
