Puzzle No 8

This is one of the most impressive plants I "bumped into" on my travels.
I took these photos whilst on holidays near Malaga, Spain in Sept 2005.

I have the name written down in my note pad. They were taken in a Garden Centre. You may have read elsewhere that I prefer to take photos in overcast conditions. I waited until end of day hoping for a little shade to descend - no such luck (although you are supposed to hopw for sunshine on holidays so other members of our holiday group were happy) so these photos are taken in blazing sunshine, and adjusted digitally to brighten the plant at the expense of the surroundings.

Anyone recognise it? Our friends from Spain and Portugal have an advantage here, I guess.
