Took a trip across the border into Dorset this morning to an area called Ferndown, and came across some very unusual pine trees.

They are on the side of a road in a residential area, not far from the Ferndown Golf Club.

Very gnarly, multi-trunked pine trees which sets them apart from the more common single trunk varieties.

Anyway, I had my camera with me (as usual) so decided to capture the moment.

The whole road is lined with pine trees, with fallen needles carpeting the footpaths.

The brown areas you can see at the base of the trees are the discoloured needles, and the footpaths look the same  ::)
