Title: Farplants (England)
Post by: ideasguy on January 09, 2006, 10:21:26 PM
You rememeber the photo of the lovely garden in Garden Answers that I flipped over?
I checked the business of the "gardener" today.
No ordinary gardener! see for yourself

New plants:

Now, theres one REAL beauty there which I MUST HAVE:
This gorgeous little Gaura, with deep crimson foliage

I saw Gaura for the first time when I took photos at "The Old Rectory" near Northampton.
I bought a plant. It survived all winter in the greenhouse, started growing in spring, then DIED just as I was planning where to plant it. Grrrr!

Anybody grow these?

Yes, I remember something of a photo or photos that were so nice and what a pity: we saw nope.
Still searching for that scanning machine, George? ;)
Farplants is not a little boy: they mention a retail sales value of £35 million. In my humble opinion they have added their wholesale supplying income to it, don't you think? Or can such a firm in GB generate that amount from retail income only? Perhaps your scale of activities is a lot bigger than ours in Belgium.
Their plants seem extra ordinary in the litteral sense of the word. I would have liked more pictures of them.
