Title: What is this wild flower?

I received this email from Tony (Stoob on the forum) on Sunday

I did a surf, and find its listed in the Flora of N Ireland:

Is there a white and a pink variety of Silene uniflora Paul? Heres a white variety:

No, most defiantly white, the pink is Silene dioica - Red Campion, my mistakte,sorry looking again that is what this plant is, given the flower colour and location.

Well, it gave us all a chance to dio a bit of surfin' and learn about that lovely Genus, Paul.
