Title: Patrick Breen's Oregon State University Landscape Plants
Post by: ideasguy on February 12, 2006, 12:43:09 AM
Very good information on 900 landscape plants (mostly woody) by Patrick Breen (CPN) Have a visit to the web site and find out what a CPN is!
Oregon State University Landscape Plants (http://oregonstate.edu/dept/ldplants/)

As I write, I'm pleased to see Patrick is still working that website. Last update was Feb 6th 2006
I exchanged a few emails with Pat since August 2002
In Dec 2003 he told me he was "more or less" retired, and would have more time to devote to the website, but he hinted that he might be continuing in his lecturing capacity.

I think this website is a good example how this medium can replace textbooks. Speaking as a bibliophile I like books (=material I can hold in my hands and handle immediately), but I take my hat off for this project. Chapeau! Very instructive. I'm sure I will use it frequently.

No surprise, I found it from a link called "Pat Breen" on his web site.
