Anything you can view in WORD, or Notepad, can be brought into any data field in any IG, Flower Genie etc.
All you do is copy from the text editor, and paste it into the desired data field.
If the document has hyperlinks (links to web pages) they will be active in the Genie software.
RE:
Scan the material, bring it into M/S Word, edit it if necessary, and then use Copy (to NotePad) and Paste
You don't need to go through the copy to Notepad step.
The Genie data fields are like Notepad - all formatted items are removed - only plain text is pasted.
RE:
If yes, then is Nuance Omnipage 16 a good way to go, or would you recommend some other software.
I'd have to do some research on that. Perhaps others on the forum would like to take up that challenge.
Perhaps theres something free out there?
Make sure you read the system requirements for Nuance Omnipage 16 - Hardware requirement and Software.
The software takes up quite a bit of disk space. Also, you need the .net Framework 3.0 which again takes up a right chunk of disk space (its a free download from MS, I think)
