Title: Sharpened pictures

The one on the left is the original, slightly out of focus. The other is after it has been sharpened using a Plug in filter on Photoshop 7. I also corrected the colour a little too.

If you look closely at the left hand picture, the orignal, it is slightly out of focus. This happened becasue the mode which I had to use to overcome the orange lights does not allow Autofocus and so all the pictures I took were slightly unfocussed. I managed to sharpen up 50 of them.

They are upper photo and lower photo as I see them, Eric

I guess the top pic is the enhanced one.

Must be you 'cos they were posted side by side and showed up side by side on Preview and when I looked back at the posting and I have not done any editing! Very odd. The darker picture is the untouched one.

You guys must be viewing this on wide-screen monitors, because on my normal 17" CRT with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels the pics are not side-by-side.

Eric didnt edit the posting.
On my (non wide screen) home computer, the images are one above the other.
On my wide screen monitor in my Belfast office, they are side by side (which is why I thought Eric had edited the posting).
Both are XP

If you have your favourites showing in a margin at the left hand side, try making the margin smaller (drag the margin)

Then the pics show side by side.

Thanks for posting that suggestion Malcolm, however that's not the definitive answer.

I for one don't have the Favourites showing in my browser, at any time.  As you can see from the screenshot below, the effect is as previously described, and is also the same when viewed in full screen browser window after pressing F11 key.

Each of Eric's photos are 450 pixels wide.  If they had been joined side-by-side into one image of 900 pixels wide, then a scrollbar would have appeared.  As they were posted as separate images, they have been wrapped to separate lines on a non-widescreen monitor.

As Eric mentioned, in 'Preview' mode the photos are indeed side-by-side, but when posted the screen area is slightly smaller (to cater for the poster's details on the left side of the screen) so gives the wrapping effect.

I don't think we need to get too hung up on this issue though, we don't want to make Eric feel bad about this.  ;)
