This is a lovely plant with strange flowers for the genus. It looks like someone has pinched the ends closed. Not that easy to grow as they are adored by snails.

Its a little beauty, Eric. Well done to get that one to flower so profusely. It looks like its at least a few years old so you must have stood guard to keep the slugs at bay :).

Ive given up on some varieties of Campanula. I bought both the blue and white varieties of Campanula carpatica last year. All but a few were devoured overnight after planting out. As for the survivors, theres no sign of them whatsoever this year.

I had a very nice one called Campanula cochleariifolia 'Tubby'.
I kept it in the greenhouse for two years and it flowered in abundance. I planted it out last year in my rockery and it flowered its little heart out. This year, no sign of it.
Really, really distressing.
