Title: adding credits
Post by: Johnr65 on September 10, 2015, 11:56:49 AM
Is there a way of adding known credits on the day of the month that they enter my bank account,; being a pensioner, I know exactly when one pension is credited to me and the other one comes in every 4 weeks. At present I've got a lot of debits but no credits unless aI enter them manually?
Also any news of the forecasting idea that I put forward, whereby one can see where one is likely to be at end of ext month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, x years, etc? This would be extremely helpful for us with fixed payments and credits and was a source of great pleasure on Money.

Set such regular transactions up as standing orders John.
Use the program Direct debits/Standing orders (BS423) for that.
Set up a record for any regular income or expenditure.
You have options to set up one pension as monthly (paid on the same dater each month) and the other as every 4 weeks (e.g. state pension).
Process them using the program Process Standing Orders-BS429.
You can use the date picker in that program to select a date (say) 6 weeks into the future, click Refresh and Process.
That allows you to see a projected cash flow in Manage Transactions BS421.

Patience on the forecasting ideas John.
That's coming in Bank Genie Pro 5 (http://www.bankgenie.net).
Planned release date early 2016.
