Caterpillar
« on: May 17, 2008, 06:07:22 PM »
Hello,

Finally my new garden start to grow and now there are everywhere caterpillars (rupsen-nederlands) in it.
They are eating all the young leaves.

I do like butterfly's, but do they really need caterpillars to survive? :)

Groetjes,

Ina

Hi Ina
As you point out, its a stange transformation!
By co-incidence, my 2 year old grandson has just discovered Butterflies this past week. I had two days off this week to help my wife look after him. It was a pleasure. The weather was beautiful and "we" got a lot of work done in the garden.
I spotted this butterfly sitting resting on the grass and showed it to him. Then it took flight and he was fascinated. He's been chasing them around the garden ever since.
Theyre a bit like flowers - lots of variety.
