Beautiful shot Malcolm. Incredible clarity.
I must add that one to my wish list. It has to be a reall good'un to make it as one of your favourites.

They took 2 to 3 years to establish before flowering, but are now slowly increasing.
We first saw them at Wisley in sparse woodland 29th June 2003.
So flowering time is much the same as now.

Thanks for the info Malcolm. Good to see you have patience to wait 2 to 3 yrs for a flower to start producing!
Did you take photos at Wisley? I was there in May 2008 as part of the Ulsterbus Great Gardens Tour. What a wonderful place.

Did you take photos at Wisley
Not many, it was a very very hot day when we were there, the tropical house was err very tropical.
We have said we would like to go back and have another look, what we saw we enjoyed, apart from the price of plants there.
Talking of which we did have a foray out on a 100 mile round trip to a plant fair in Selborne at Gilbert Whites house last Sunday.
Why would we go to a plant fair, to get some more plants ;D
I think the score was about 5 each. ???
