This is more of a landscape than flower garden, though they do grow a fine collection of Dahlias. Too many features to describe them all. We enjoyed a 2 hour walk round.

The House (not open)

Tudor Cottage

The Chinese Pavillion.

Great set of photos there Eric.

I have to confess, I've never heard of those gardens before, let alone been to visit.  :-[

They look really wonderful.

Laurie.

The National Trust got them 20 years ago. There was a TV series then on them and their restoration. The gardens are very Victorian and are one of the few remaining places of this type. As such they have great historical importance. They are not like Harlow Carr or Powys or Bodnant, full of wonderful flowers etc., they are more green than colourful. However, they are definitely worth a visit if only because of the structures to be found therein.
