Erysimum Jenny Brook

(1/2) > >>

newplantguy:
Look out for this Erysimum called Jenny Brook,  :) it was discovered in Wales  in the garden of a Roger Handley.
I have it my garden and it will be in flower from April until the end of the growing season.
Grows to about 50cm and has a spread of 60cm. The multi-coloured flowers are quite striking.

NightHawk:
That's a beautiful little flower Paul.  Great composition of shot.

The multi-coloured flowers are very striking.

We have two other Erysimum plants at the moment - Erysimum 'Bowles Mauve' and Erysimum 'Apricot Twist'.

We'll certainly be looking out for this one to add to our collection at some point in the future.

Do you know if it's commercially available and if so where - e.g. Garden Centres, Nurseries, Online?

Kathy is into that colour scheme of flowers so it would be a good one to get hold of.

Thanks for sharing that one with us.

Laurie.

newplantguy:
It is available, you should be able to get it from Garden Centres like Wyevale and it is available on line from some suppliers like Dobbies and Hayloft. You may also see it in other independent centres.
You have two good Erysimums in your Garden Bowles Mauve being the best.  :)
Paul.

NightHawk:
Thanks for that Paul.

We have a Wyevale outlet in our area so we'll check them out first I think.

You're right about Bowles Mauve too.  I featured this plant in a Plant of the Moment thread on this Forum in May 2009 as we were so impressed by its performance in extreme weather conditions over winter - (see Our 'Bowles Mauve' here).

Laurie.

ideasguy:
Nice one Paul! A plant with that length of growing season is worthy of a spot in any garden :)
Colours look really good.
That is one brilliant photo 8)
