I'm importing a database of 2708 plants for Sherwood Gardens

In the process, Ive had to delve into the very complex genus of Rhododendron.
The best way to resolve questions about plant names was to follow up the Source - where the plants were bought for Sherwood gardens. This has led to many fantastic web sites.
This one, Leonardslee is particularly interesting.

The Home page states:
Quote
Leonardslee is one of England's most spectacular gardens and is world-famous for its rhododendrons and azaleas.

You wont have to do too much research on Rhodos to come across the name Loder.
Sir Edmund Loder was a famous Victorian plant collectors, he purchased the estate from his parents-in-law in 1889, and started developing the gardens as they are today.

Has any of our members been to Leonardlee? Any photos?
