Translating things

Hello,

I am very busy now to adding plants to my own garden, but I don't know from somethings the translation.

Planttypes: Annual/Biennial
The good things: AGM, ASS, Fragrant, Drought tolerant
Beware things:  Invasive
Spread
Soil requirements

Can someone tell me what this all means?

Another question, how do I make the shape from my garden in FG?

Good to hear from you. I'll try to help you with the translations to the Dutch language:
Annual: éénjarig
Biennal: is dan natuurlijk tweejarig
AGM: is de afkorting van Award of Garden Merit. Dit is een "certificaat van uitmuntendheid" die aan een bepaalde plant wordt verleend door de honorabele Britse Royal Horticultural Society.
ASS: betekent normaal "ezel", maar ik denk dat hier wat anders wordt bedoeld ;), maar wat juist weet ik niet.
Beware things: invasive >> Opgelet: woekerend
Spread: breedte
Soil requirements: eisen die de plant in kwestie aan de grond stelt

I'm afraid that is not possible with Flower Genie Ina. It is not a garden design software.

However, you can set up your virtual garden.
Use the program FG042.
Click the Edit button to change the Gardener name to YOUR name.
Then click "Add a Garden Divider" and add your garden divisions. This could be a) "Front" representing all the parts of your garden at the front of the house, b) "Back" - a division representing all the parts of your garden at the back of your house,
Next, "Add a Garden Area" and add your garden areas. These could be flower beds etc.
You use the Nudge buttons to shuffle the garden divisions and garden areas into your preferred listting order.

You can add as many "Gardeners" as you wish.

You use FG037 to add plants to your database.

Then you use the program FG038 to add the plants to your Garden Areas.

Thank you, that does help. I did not understand what Garden Divider and divisions where.
And thank you Greenfinger, now I can fill the database whit the plants from my first border.

Did you download the English-Dutch version of the file set Ina?
Andre has put a lot of work into that. It would be much easier for you to read the text on the various screens in Flower Genie in Dutch.
