short introduction
« on: February 02, 2007, 08:58:53 AM »
Linnaeus was born in the 18th century.
The sexuality of the plants was the basic for their Linnaen classification.
Below the man can be admired in Lapland costume (not his daily outfit).
What a man needs in gardening is a cast-iron back, with a hinge in it (Charles Dudley Warner, 1870).

Ah! Yes. Swedish chap, Carl von Linne (Carl Linnaeus). The man who connected the world with his unique naming system back in 1753. Who needs to learn other languages?
Clever man.

The Linnean Society of London.
