Hi Again,

Question?
As Bank Genie is to be operated on a LapTop with no internet connection how do I aquire updates. I only have internet access through another machine which is not mine.

If you have access to a computer with internet connection, and a means of transferring files from one computer to another, then this is quite easy.
The procedure below describes how to do this using a Flash Disc.

If you dont have one, I highly recommend you get one.
They are perfect for use with the new features of Bank Genie (see discussion on BS026)

The procedure:
Go to the Bank Genie program updates web page. Heres a direct link:

Read the instructions (in blue) for Download Method 2
We will do that, but with a little deviation.
Select an update for download
Make a note of the name of the download file. Yo will need that later.
When the "File Download" dialog box appears, Click Save
A "Save as" dialog box appears - prompting you to select a folder to save the download to
Select the drive with the Flash Disc (shows as Removable Disk)
Click save
Use the unplug/remove hardware option and remove the Flash Disc from the computer

Connect the Flash disc to the 2nd computer
Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to locate the downloaded file on the Flash Disc (from your notes)
Double click on the file name and install as usual.
