Next question. Is it possible to stop the program from showing the date a photo was taken? It does it even though the Exif data on the picture has been removed.

In which program? In which screen?

I don't think there is. If the program cant read or find an EXIF date in the photos "inners" it uses the File date.
Why do you want to remove the date?

NOTE: The program uses the date in BS405 (Garden Photos program) to show you your garden by Year and by season, based on the photo dates.

ALSO: When Generating (Step 7) your web pages in GA642S02 you can uncheck the checkbox:
Show date taken in description

That's better. It is only on the first picture in the sequence, which is a very old one, so it looks a bit odd for 2015 images to be preceded by a 2011 one.

You can edit the Photo date in a number of programs.

I have to assume that you are referring to the program Web Projects GA642.
Using that program, when you reach screen GA642S03, find and click on that photo with the odd date.
Click the Edit button at bottom of screen.
Takes you to screen GA100S20.
Click the Notes about this photo tab (top of screen)
Edit the date in the Photo Date Taken field.

In the list of photos, click (to select) on the line showing your photo, then click the Edit button at bottom of screen (not the photo.)

That brings up a box saying Link this photo to a plant or Garden and try again.

OK, lets do as it says.
Click the Link button (bottom left region of GA642S03).
You will be given an option to link it to a plant or a garden area.

But this image is not a plant, it is an introductory page for the Show pages. So, linking to as plant brings up choices which do not rally apply. Linking it  to a Garden area brings up GA605504

In GA605S04, click the tab: Photo title and notes.
That allows you to edit the date.

Yes, letter arrived last Friday.
Copied pics onto my drive today.
982 quality photos, all file names edited to the name of the plant shown 8)
Now that is a LOT of work Eric. Quite amazing!
Many thanks Eric. I am very grateful once again :)

PS: All those photos have been contributed by Eric for inclusion in the Master Database.
This will be available to all users of Ideas Genie Pro 6

Gosh!!!
Over what period and how many shows have you been accumulating all those photos Eric?
I'm going to write a special program to import them all to the Master Database, using your filename/plant names.
It would be quicker than doing them all individually!

I think they are ones I have taken since the last time I sent you a DVD with pictures on, so about 2 years. Some are from various gardens as well, and even a few from ours!

Just added another set of images to FileZilla. The name is My_Garden.
And the Loughborough March show ones still do not work.

Loughborough is working again now Eric:
http://www.ideasforgardens.net/palustris/Loughborough_AGS_Show_March_2015/
The problem was due to the size of the Web Page Prefix field in screen GA642S02.
Currently Ideas Genie Pro 6 allows a max character size of 25.
This was truncating your Web Page Prefix name as you will see in your project.
Loughborough_AGS_Show_March 2015 became: Loughborough_AGS_Show_Mar
Ive had to edit the project name on the server for you to get that long name in.
In the meantime, for other new project, try and keep this field within 25 characters.
I'll look at the program and make it (say) 35 or perhaps 40 characters long.

Your garden Web Project looks real good Eric. Heres the URL:
http://www.ideasforgardens.net/palustris/My-garden/
In your case, Its always http://www.ideasforgardens.net/palustris/ followed by the Web Page Prefix name

Great. Thanks.
Now tell me again how to alter the other Show ones, please. I have added a title page to them.
Will start work on a Bodnant one next time it rains and keeps me confined to barracks.

Check on the server Eric.
If the name on the server is exactly the same as the Web Page Prefix in GA642S02 then simply drag it from your computer to the server. You will get a message Do you wish to overwrite this file and you answer Yes.

If its longer than 25 chars, wait until later today and I'll set up a program update to make the Web Page Prefix field bigger in GA542S02 as mentioned above.
After you have uploaded, the URL to tell the world is (In your case):
http://www.ideasforgardens.net/palustris/ followed by the Web Page Prefix name

Other users:
You will be given your own folder. e.g MyName
In that case, the URL to published projects will be:
http://www.ideasforgardens.net/MyName/ followed by the Web Page Prefix name
Its easy, believe me!!
Like to give it a try?

Take a bow Eric. This is a masterpiece ;D
You've taken SO much time to make up this project AND added so many plant names in the photo descriptions  8)
I know (and anyone who does any web publishing knows) that this is a very time consuming effort.
I cant thank you enough!

That means not only did you compose all those photos but you wrote down all their names (or took a photo of their labels perhaps).
Which brings me to my 1st question:-
Were all the plants labelled in Bodnant Gardens?

Definitely need to take pictures of plant labels. And yes, all those plants were in Bodnant, flowering at the time of taking the pictures.
Can I carry on doing these projects? Or am I getting greedy?
