Good work again Eric, and I thank you so much for sharing with us here on the forum.

Have you any idea how many exhibitors contribute to those shows? I'm so impressed by the quality and beauty of those lovely little alpines.
Do many of the same exhibitors contribute to more than one of those shows you visit?
Like you, they are busy bees!

There are probably about 50 main exhibitors and they tend to go to every show that they can, especially when they are in the 'big boys' classes. Some of the beginner classes are just local people. Easy to get hooked on showing though. I gave it up, too old to get up at that sort of time and spend all day at a venue with nothing much to do.

Are the "big boys" professionals Eric? e.g. Nurseries perhaps?

Only  professional in the sense that they probably do little else garden wise, bit like the Dahlia and Chrysanthemum showing brigade. The Nurserymen tend not to show much, though there are occasional plants from them on the benches.
