Bank Account Balance
« on: April 19, 2014, 12:42:51 PM »
I have only recently started using Bank Genie, so I may have missed something in the learning process. However, the principal shortcoming I have found with it is the lack of a running balance on the bank accounts, entry by entry. When I was able to use Microsoft Money, I found the running balance in the right-hand column extremely useful, enabling me to predict when I was in danger of going overdrawn. As a result of this limitation, I have already gone overdrawn once. It would seem to me very simple to amend the software to provide this facility.

Comments from the software originators would be welcome.

Thank you.

I think you just need to un-tick the 'WIDE COLUMNS' box then you will see the running balance.  Whilst I am here [George] is there a way to make this un-ticked by default? When I enter the programme the box is always ticked, which I think is what the poster means.

(Should this be in the BGP area of the forum?)

Running totals are already provided in the software.
Its (almost) the extreme right column followed by the recent "C" column.
Its a simple matter of repositioning and dragging the screen wider, Barry.
Please reply if you need help with that.
