Using a Mac
« on: January 06, 2014, 04:45:04 PM »
I see from your information re Bank Genie 4 that it is possible to use it on a Mac 'in parallel'  what does that mean please.  I wish to continue using BG4 despite having moved to a Mac

Hi Pam

Thank you for posting this here, so others can read the discussion.

Bank Genie, Ideas Genie, Bonsai Genie and Flower Genie all require a Windows operating system.

Fortunately, there is a solution for MAC users - software known as Parallels.
Here's the link for details:-
http://www.parallels.com/uk/products/desktop/

It may look a bit expensive, but when installed it will allow the user to run any software designed for Windows (including the Genie items above, of course).

A number of users are already successfully using our software under Parallels.

Many thanks for that, I will try it.  Will be good if it works!
Best wishes

I will think about this, I don't have Parallels on my Mac. At the moment Bank Genie is confined to my laptop, which runs Windows 7. It is no great problem, and at least it is portable.
