Print your own Seed packets

(1/1)

ideasguy:
I'm searching for a program I used a few years ago on old Flash drives.
It was for printing seed packets. It printed the plant name and some details from the Ideas Genie database. I could extend it to show a photo. You cut out the shape and fold to make a packet.
Anyone interested in this?

sound an interesting idea i know the sort of thing you mean as i have come across websites that show you how to make your own and where to fold the paper etc, i buy in envelopes 98x67 and print out labels on my dymo label writer

bossgard:

George, is there anything on this link that you might be interested in for your software seed packet labeling. This is the only thing I could find that I thought might be of any interest to you.

Like Phil mentions, plenty of make your own seed packet pdf templates, but you still would handwrite the data on them. Or as Phil does, use his labelwriter.

George –

Go to Microsoft Word and search for ‘seed packet template’.

They have one layout for Word 2003 (which I can use).
Also one for Word 2007. (Which I can’t use or download, but looks better.)

Download your proper template.
I can copy and paste from IdeasGenie Pro ‘plant profile’, and insert name and planting instructions and print out the seed packet and then cut and fold, and glue.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Phil and Toby.
No point in reinventing the wheel if you folk are OK with what you have at present :) ::)
